It has been a great year for the Indian Juniors – the Boys in the World Team Championship created history by defeating France (ranked 4) to reach the Semi-Finals for the first time.
In the match against France it was tied one all and the decider saw the lad from Dhampur U.P. Ravi DIxit fight back from 0-2 down and 2-5 in the third game to win in five games. Ravi would have definately matured by couple of years getting his act together and winning from that position in the decider. A true champion player humble but never giving an inch. Coach Cyrus would be ECSTATIC and definately a proud man.
India though lost to Pakistan in the semi’s and will now play with England for 3/4 positions.
The brilliant performance of the boys leading Consultant Coach – SRFI, Major (R) Maniam to conclude a certain top four position by 2010 !
WAY TO GO BOYS – GREAT EFFORT. You must cherish every moment of this and do not forget your parents, coaches, the place where you train.
