DAY TWO @ PUNJ LLOYD PSA MASTER ANOTHER UPSET !!!
Mumbai was gearing for Day Two and hoping for another upset as local boy and quiet literally the almost old man of India Squash, Ritwick Bhattacharya took stage. However, organising such a star studded premium tournament had already left the Vintage Indian with too much on his platter.
The former National Champions and current World No 75, a wild card at this event just did not look any match for Alister Walker who beat the Indian 11/4, 11/5 & 11/3.
One only has to see the effort that has gone in from the former champion in organising such a grand show together with his friend, mentor and partner Raj Arora that had even Alister Walker thank him for all the wonderful things he had done for all the visiting players……….
GREGORY GAULTIER BECOMES THE BIGGEST SEED TO GO OUT
Daryl Selby simply played some very tight and attacking chess not letting the Frenchmen dictate and keeping him at the back with a consistently tight game.
If ever did Gaultier look in command was in the second when which he took rather convincingly at 11/1 however after taking the first game 12/10 Selhy faught back in the third game even though he lost it 11/13. From then onwards it was Selby getting the better of Gregory and fourth and fifth game went to the English player 11/6 and 11/6.
